About

Glenn Ledbetter, 2005
This blog is to introduce me, Glenn Ledbetter, to trumpet students and others and to explore with you the world of trumpet playing, at any level and in any genre we find interesting.
I am married, approaching retirement, interested in helping you improve your music knowledge and appreciation and your trumpet skills to the point that you achieve your goals. Wanta increase your confidence? Wanta play in high school, college and beyond? Wanta play first chair? be lead trumpet? Let me help you get where you’re going as fast as possible! With a minor in music from the University of Washington and over 15 years of trumpet/cornet/bugle experience, I tutor students of all ages, offering private lessons at reasonable rates at your home, mine, or other mutually agreeable sites. I’m based in Edmonds and Mercer Island, Washington and am willing to travel throughout Seattle and within an arc from Everett to Woodinville to Bellevue. If you’re elsewhere, please ask and maybe we can work out when and where to get together.
While an undergraduate student at University of Washington, I was a scholarship student in the Husky Marching Band; marched at football games, the Rose Bowl parade, and the Rose Bowl game; played at basketball games; and played in a brass ensemble. Also, I played in orchestras for musicals and opera. In high school, I was a member of the State Band. I tutor various types of music, specializing in trumpet and cornet.

This is a beautiful blog, nice pictures. I do video and audio recording for fun for my own kids, but might get into doing it [for others] if asked to do so. I’m preparing a recording and video for the recent Skyview Jr. High trip to Canada as I type here. I’m a string player / parent Skyview / Bothell HS.
