Hi – I am looking for a trumpet teacher for my 17 year-old son. He attends Eastlake High School on the Sammamish plateau and is entering 11th grade this year. He took trumpet at school from grade 5 through grade 9. He quit last year because he did not want to participate in the marching band and all the football games. Now he wants to get back into it as a private lesson pupil. He is a good kid, smart and dedicated and he also sings beautifully.
I am hoping you can help. Please let me know.

Hi, Melody,
sounds interesting! So he misses trumpet but doesn’t like marching band and football games…perhaps he likes jazz and/or classical music. Is he in any groups now? Let’s talk this over by phone and see how I can help.

Hey Glenn, I wanted to let you know that Levi is going with his school band to Aneheim CA May 17th. They are playing band in the park in Disneyland. He is now in concert and Jazz band.

I am trying to get Levi to play at our wedding in september. I was thinking a simple march and perhaps “All You Need is Love”. Do you have ideas and or sheet music.

Update again on Levi. We moved to Des Moines WA and he is in Jazz and band at Federal Way HS. He graduates this year and wants to study Musical Education.

Hi, Sharon. That’s amazing! So glad you and he stuck with it. He was my fourth trumpet student. Our first lesson was six years ago on 18 November 2009, and look where he is now! I’m proud of him. BTW, sorry I didn’t reply to your comment above about the wedding…I missed it…just read it for the first time today. Blessings to you all.
